Rex Sim vs Sid Herron

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Showtime Gym, Miami,  taking place on 22/06/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rex Sim (8(5) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Yuma, USA and Sid Herron(6 - 6 - 2) from Huntington Beach, USA.  Both Sim and Herron weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Cook, and the three ringside judges are Sean Carmona, Sean Carmona and Inigo Poyner.  

Round 1: 

Herron steps inside and throws a right uppercut, but Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim pushes his forearm into Herron's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sim drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Sim throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim pushes his forearm into Herron's face.  The ref breaks Sim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sim digs in a firm left hook to Herron's liver.  
Sim closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Herron's kidney. Sim is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sim drives a sharp right hook into Herron's ribcage.  
Herron sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Sim advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent using all his weight. Sim pushes his forearm into Herron's face.  The referee warns Sim and breaks the clinch.  
Sim whips in a mean right hook to his opponents ribcage.  HERRON IS HURT!  Herron recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sim is on target with a firm right hook to Herron's body.  Sim holds on to his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent using all his weight. Sim tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Herron behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sim slams a big right hook into his opponents ribs.  HERRON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Sim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Herron recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sim lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sim digs in a stinging right hook to Herron's body.  
Sim closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sim feints a left, and then is on target with a jab.  
Sim is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Sim lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Sim walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Sim lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Sim gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Herron's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Herron's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Herron's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Herron's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Sim is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Herron recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sim is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook to Herron's ribs.  
Sim is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Herron throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Herron's liver.  
Sim lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS HERRON DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Herron almost instantly recovers. 
Sim walks Herron down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Herron throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Sim hits home with a right hook.  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Sim tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Herron behind the head. Sim leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sim is on target with a stinging left hook to Herron's ribs.  
Sim closes the distance.  Herron connects with a right uppercut.  
Sim is looking to close the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HERRON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Sim is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sim to stop fouling.  Herron quickly recovers. 
Sim gets on the inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Herron parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sim is on target with a firm left uppercut to Herron's body.  
Sim lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sim lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sim lands a left hook.  
Sim forces Herron to retreat into a corner.  Herron throws a left hook, but Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim pushes his forearm into Herron's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sim about fouling.  
Sim whips in a big right hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE HERRON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Sim sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Sim lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES HERRON!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Sim!
