Waqas Zain vs David Zaman

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kisumu promoted show at Mark Aiyabei Gym, Kisumu,  taking place on 24/05/2031:

Clearly AI Kenya-Kisumu have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Kisumu Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqas Zain (12 - 11(1) - 3) who hails from Kisumu, Kenya and David Zaman(6(5) - 0 - 1) from Kisumu, Kenya.  Zain weighed in at 159 pounds and 15 ounces, while Zaman weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Babla, and the three ringside judges are David Macgoye, Udenwa Lalang and Mick Mutu.  

Round 1: 

Zaman drives a left hook into Zain's body.  
Zaman closes the distance and drives a right hook into Zain's body.  Zaman clinches his opponent.  Zaman pushes his forearm into Zain's face.  The referee warns Zaman and breaks the clinch.  
Zaman is on target with a right hook to Zain's body.  
Zaman drives a right hook into Zain's body.  Zaman holds on to his opponent.  Zaman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Zain throws a left uppercut, but Zaman ties up his opponent.  Zaman uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Zain behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Zaman to stop fouling.  
Zaman is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  Zaman holds on to his opponent.  Zaman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Zaman gets on the inside.  Zain throws a left uppercut, but Zaman holds on to his opponent.  Zaman leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Zaman is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Zaman lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Zaman lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Zaman lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Zain steps to the outside and lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Zaman steps inside.  Zaman pivots from in front of his opponent.  Zaman throws a right hook, but is not on target.  Zaman holds on to his opponent.  Zaman uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Zain's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Zaman drives a left hook into Zain's body.  
Zaman steps inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Zain's liver.  
Zaman manouvers Zain into a corner.  Zain throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Zaman lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Zaman holds on to his opponent.  Zaman leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Zaman is on target with a left hook to Zain's body.  
Zaman digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Zaman steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Zaman sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Zain is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Zaman finds the target with a jab.  
Zaman advances into close range and manages to force Zain into the corner.  Zaman drives a right uppercut into Zain's body.  
Zaman drives a left uppercut into Zain's liver.  
Zaman steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Zain is looking to close the distance.  Zaman digs in a right hook to Zain's ribcage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Zain's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Zain's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Zain's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Zain attempts to land a left hook, but Zaman blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Zaman is on target with a right uppercut.  
Zaman digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Zaman drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Zaman clinches his opponent.  Zaman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Zaman to stop holding.  
Zaman digs in a right hook to Zain's body.  
Zaman walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Zaman lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Zaman connects with a right hook.  
Zaman pivots to the right of his opponent.  Zain hits home with a left hook.  
Zaman lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Zaman is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Zain tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Zaman digs in a left hook to Zain's body.

Zain is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a cross, but Zaman slips the shot and counters with a MASSIVE left uppercut.  ZAIN IS HURT!  
The right shot from Zaman could be enough to force the stoppage!  Zaman SLAMS a nasty right uppercut into his opponents face.  ZAIN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Zaman closes the distance and manages to force Zain onto the ropes.  Zaman connects with a FIERCE right uppercut.  ZAIN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Zaman lands a left uppercut followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Zain now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Zain's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

He then lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS ZAIN DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Zaman!
