Ashley Sharper vs John Chipeta

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Softball Country Arena, Denver,  taking place on 18/07/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ashley Sharper (20(13) - 0) who hails from Denver, USA and John Chipeta(21 - 13(3)) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Both Sharper and Chipeta weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Allender, and the three ringside judges are Mark Crabb, Joshua Davie and John Adee.  

Round 1: 

Chipeta hits home with a stiff jab.  Chipeta attempts to land a jab, but Sharper slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Chipeta is looking to close the distance.  Sharper attempts to land a left hook, but Chipeta dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Chipeta cuts off the ring, trapping Sharper on the ropes.  Chipeta pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a stiff jab.  
Sharper is looking to close the distance.  Chipeta is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Chipeta sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sharper lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sharper gets on the inside.  Chipeta pivots to the left of his opponent.  Sharper is on target with a left uppercut.

Sharper is looking to keep his distance and tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.

Chipeta connects with a left hook.  Chipeta throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Sharper steps inside.  Chipeta lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Chipeta tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Sharper is on target with a left hook.  
Chipeta lands with a stiff jab.  
Sharper advances into close range.  Chipeta tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a FEARSOME left uppercut.  CHIPETA IS HURT!  
Some sustained pressure from Sharper could be enough to finish Chipeta!  Sharper lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES CHIPETA!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Chipeta now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Sharper switches the action to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sharper digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sharper gets on the inside.  Sharper pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Chipeta throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sharper's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Chipeta's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Sharper walks Chipeta into the corner.  Sharper quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sharper is on target with a stinging right hook to Chipeta's ribcage.  Sharper throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sharper drives a sharp right hook into Chipeta's body.  Sharper attempts to land a right hook, but Chipeta parries the shot and counters with a right hook.

Sharper stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Sharper is on target with a SAVAGE left hook.  DOWN GOES CHIPETA!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Chipeta has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Sharper lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Sharper sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Sharper lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, KNOCKING CHIPETA DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Sharper!
