Kashif Malek vs John Akubeze

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Kwara State promoted show at Ilorin Ndukwu, Ilorin,  taking place on 26/06/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kashif Malek (21(6) - 8 - 3) who hails from Osogbo, Nigeria and John Akubeze(19 - 10) from Ilorin, Nigeria.  Malek weighed in at 134 pounds And 12 ounces, while Akubeze weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Majid Farooq, and the three ringside judges are Rabiu Udoobong, Kenzie Acquah and Kenzie Acquah.  

Round 1:

Akubeze steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Malek sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Malek is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Malek closes the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Malek advances into close range and connects with a sharp left uppercut.  Malek ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Malek pushes his forearm into Akubeze's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Malek about fouling.  
Malek lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Akubeze steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Malek steps inside and digs in a left uppercut to Akubeze's body.

Malek advances into close range and manouvers Akubeze into a corner.  Malek lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Malek lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Malek closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Malek lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Akubeze recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
