Robert Spier vs Jack Stackpoole

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Boston Savas, Boston,  taking place on 02/07/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Robert Spier (24 - 1) who hails from Boston, USA and Jack Stackpoole(24(7) - 4) from Wichita, USA.  Both Spier and Stackpoole weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Stobie, and the three ringside judges are Sam Evans, Nathan Burt and Hugh Hier.  

Round 1: 

Stackpoole closes the distance.  Spier pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Spier steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Stackpoole sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Spier tries to land a jab, but Stackpoole dodges the shot and counters with a firm left hook.

Stackpoole drives a right hook into his opponents body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Stackpoole dabs at his face checking for damage.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Spier's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.  Stackpoole's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Stackpoole's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
