Frank Mackley vs David Barfoot

Boxing Daily Report from the Cletus Van Damme promoted show at Gareth Rankin Gym, Nashville,  taking place on 02/07/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Deep South Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Frank Mackley (17 - 9(2) - 4) who hails from Memphis, USA and David Barfoot(4 - 2) from Nashville, USA.  Both Mackley and Barfoot weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Loudon, and the three ringside judges are Charlie MacNaughton, Ian Sandison and Bart Bargas.  

Round 1: 

Barfoot steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Barfoot lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Barfoot manouvers Mackley into a corner.  Barfoot lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Barfoot lands a solid right uppercut.  Barfoot holds on to his opponent.  Barfoot is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Barfoot digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Barfoot lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mackley tries to keep the action at long range.  Mackley sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Mackley attempts to land a jab, but Barfoot blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.

Barfoot sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mackley lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

As Mackley tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Barfoot dabs at his face checking for damage.
