Adam Purdie vs Malcolm Hughes

Boxing Daily Report from the boxeraifan promoted show at Fort Collins Forsyth, Fort Collins,  taking place on 03/07/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Adam Purdie (11 - 8(2) - 4) who hails from Greeley, USA and Malcolm Hughes(15 - 3 - 1) from Anchorage, USA.  Both Purdie and Hughes weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Adee, and the three ringside judges are John Lewis, Richie Watson and Owen Simpson.  

Round 1: 

Purdie lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Purdie lands a right hook.  
Hughes lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Purdie attempts to land a left hook, but Hughes sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Purdie's body.  
Hughes gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Purdie's ribs.  
Hughes lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Purdie's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Purdie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Hughes cuts off the ring, trapping Purdie on the ropes.  Purdie lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
