Jiro Kubota vs Jiro Miura

Boxing Daily Report from the Ayim Promotions promoted show at Taro Aoki Gym, Saitama,  taking place on 01/07/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Saitama Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jiro Kubota (8 - 7 - 7 - 1(NC)) who hails from Saitama, Japan and Jiro Miura(13 - 10 - 1) from Kawagoe, Japan.  Both Kubota and Miura weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hideki Machida, and the three ringside judges are Kaede Iwasaki, Kenji Nishi and Yasushi Ikeda.  

Round 1: 

Kubota steps to the outside.  Miura connects with a cross.  
Miura throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kubota drives a left uppercut into Miura's body.  
Miura forces Kubota to back into the corner.  Kubota throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Miura sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Miura attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Kubota's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Kubota pivots to the side of his opponent.  Miura tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.
