Ewan Bankes vs Kris Verner

Boxing Daily Report from the Kapenta Promotions promoted show at Atlanta Storer, Atlanta,  taking place on 02/07/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-South Atlantic Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ewan Bankes (22(6) - 2(2) - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from Atlanta, USA and Kris Verner(23(6) - 1(1)) from Fort Lauderdale, USA.  Bankes weighed in at 139 pounds and 13 ounces, while Verner weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ewan Rodgers, and the three ringside judges are Arran Culp, Noel Lawther and Brad Bee.  

Round 1: 

Bankes throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Verner steps inside.  Verner pivots to the left of his opponent.  Verner throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Verner steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Bankes on the ropes.  Verner quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
