Peter Lekimeju vs Zachary Whitton

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Machakos promoted show at Kangundo-Tala Mady, Kangundo-Tala,  taking place on 14/07/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Commonwealth Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Peter Lekimeju (12(11) - 0) who hails from Machakos, Kenya and Zachary Whitton(13 - 3(3)) from Adelaide, Australia.  Both Lekimeju and Whitton weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jamar Kosgei, and the three ringside judges are Ian Kahiu, Leighton Tumbo and Ian Elmi.  

Round 1: 

Whitton gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  Whitton tries to land a right hook, but Lekimeju sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Whitton's body.  
Lekimeju lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a jab to the head.  Lekimeju throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Whitton advances into close range and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Whitton pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Lekimeju's ribs.  
Lekimeju finds the target with a hard jab.  Lekimeju tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook to Lekimeju's body.  
Lekimeju lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lekimeju is on target with a solid left hook to Whitton's body.  
Lekimeju lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Lekimeju attempts to land a right uppercut, but Whitton blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  Whitton almost instantly gets his legs back.

Lekimeju connects with a WICKED left hook.  WHITTON IS HURT!  Whitton almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Whitton steps inside.  Lekimeju lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Lekimeju tries to land a right hook, but Whitton slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Lekimeju lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Lekimeju wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Whitton dabs at his face checking for damage.  Whitton has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Lekimeju forces Whitton to retreat onto the ropes.  Lekimeju pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Lekimeju hits home with a firm right hook.  
Lekimeju lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Whitton almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Lekimeju lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Lekimeju is looking to close the distance and DETONATES a MASSIVE left hook on his opponents face.  WHITTON IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Lekimeju manouvers Whitton onto the ropes.  Whitton tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Lekimeju lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Lekimeju lands a left uppercut.  
Lekimeju hits home with a right hook.  
Lekimeju pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Lekimeju lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Whitton recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Whitton throws a left hook, but Lekimeju holds on to his opponent.  Lekimeju leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lekimeju lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Lekimeju stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Lekimeju DETONATES a CRUSHING left uppercut on his opponents face.  DOWN GOES WHITTON!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Lekimeju!
