Brett Steel vs Ian Doughty

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Oakland�Alameda County Coliseum, Oakland,  taking place on 04/09/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the USA Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Cold Brett Steel (33(19) - 4 - 2) who hails from Santa Clarita, USA and Ian Doughty(17 - 9(2) - 2) from Los Angeles, USA.  Both Steel and Doughty weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lewis Mein, and the three ringside judges are Michael Rice, Amon Scroggie and Brin Howden.  

Round 1: 

Steel advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Doughty tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Steel steps inside.  Doughty throws a left hook, but Steel holds on to his opponent.  Steel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Doughty is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Doughty sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Doughty attempts to land a jab, but Steel parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Steel is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Steel closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Steel is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Steel clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Steel pushes his forearm into Doughty's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Steel.

Steel closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Steel holds on to his opponent.  Steel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Steel lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Steel is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Doughty's body.  
Doughty throws a left hook, but Steel ties up his opponent.  Steel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Doughty is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Steel is on target with an overhand right.  
Steel advances into close range and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Steel hits home with a left uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Doughty dabs at his face checking for damage.

Doughty tries to keep the action at long range.  Steel lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Doughty quickly recovers.
