Chris Beddow vs Seamus McNeil

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Munster promoted show at Munster Hall, Limerick,  taking place on 19/07/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Irish-Munster Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Beddow (22(16) - 1) who hails from Waterford, Ireland and Seamus McNeil(4 - 11 - 2) from Cork, Ireland.  Beddow weighed in at 244 pounds and 15 ounces, while McNeil weighed in at 231 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jason Ayrton, and the three ringside judges are Seamus Kavanagh, Patrick Hannigan and Jason Ayrton.  

Round 1: 

Beddow advances into close range.  Beddow sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Beddow drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents liver.  Beddow clinches his opponent.  Beddow is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Beddow about fouling.

McNeil throws a left hook, but Beddow clinches his opponent.  Beddow leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Beddow tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McNeil behind the head. 
Beddow connects with a right hook.  Beddow ties up his opponent.  Beddow pushes his forearm into McNeil's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Beddow about fouling.  
Beddow gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
McNeil tries to keep the action at long range.  Beddow lands a solid cross.  
Beddow steps inside and lands a FEROCIOUS left hook.  MCNEIL IS HURT!  McNeil almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Beddow lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Beddow is looking to close the distance and lands two left uppercut's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Beddow drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents body.  
McNeil attempts to land a jab, but Beddow sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Beddow throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Beddow ties up his opponent.  Beddow leans on his opponent using all his weight. Beddow pushes his forearm into McNeil's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Beddow.  
Beddow advances into close range and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Beddow lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Beddow lands a right uppercut.  Beddow holds on to his opponent.  Beddow leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McNeil's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  McNeil's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McNeil's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Beddow throws a right uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Beddow holds on to his opponent.  Beddow is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref stops the action and sends McNeil to the neutral corner.  He takes Beddow's arm and signals to each judge that a point should be deducted!  
Beddow gets on the inside.  McNeil throws a left hook, but Beddow clinches his opponent.  Beddow leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Beddow to stop holding.  
Beddow lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
McNeil steps away from his opponent.  Beddow lands a stinging cross.  
Beddow gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Beddow is looking to force the stoppage!  Beddow lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MCNEIL!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  McNeil now seems to have got his legs back.  
Beddow lands a right hook.  
McNeil throws a right hook, but Beddow holds on to his opponent.  Beddow leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Beddow hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Beddow to stop fouling.

McNeil steps away from his opponent.  Beddow lands a firm cross.  Beddow attempts to land a cross, but McNeil blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

McNeil feints a jab, but Beddow does not fall for it and is on target with a sharp right uppercut.  
McNeil pivots to the right of his opponent.  Beddow lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
McNeil steps away from his opponent.  Beddow lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Beddow is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Beddow gets on the inside and connects with a solid right hook.  
McNeil steps away from his opponent.  Beddow lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Beddow lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

It looks like McNeil has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Beddow gets on the inside.  Beddow knows McNeil is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Beddow lands a left hook, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS MCNEIL SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Beddow!
