Loredo Herron vs Quico Varas

Boxing Daily Report from the Kwofie Promotions promoted show at Mexicali Meraz, Mexicali,  taking place on 25/06/2031:

Clearly Kwofie Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Loredo Herron (7 - 4 - 1) who hails from Ensenada, Mexico and Quico Varas(6 - 12(1) - 5) from Ensenada, Mexico.  Herron weighed in at 121 pounds and 7 ounces, while Varas weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Xabat Badillo, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Moreno, Nicandro Delgadillo and Joaquin Macario.  

Round 1: 

Varas walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Herron connects with a cross.  
Herron advances into close range.  Herron pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left hook into Varas's body.  
Herron advances into close range.  Herron pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Herron steps inside.  Varas sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Herron lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Herron leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Varas accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Herron.  Varas lands a right uppercut.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Varas dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Varas gets on the inside and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Varas is on target with a left hook.  
Varas gets on the inside.  Herron drives a right hook into Varas's ribcage.  
Herron tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand right.
