George Fairweather vs John Mein

Boxing Daily Report from the Navasartyan Promotions promoted show at Columbus Glasco, Columbus,  taking place on 02/08/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Great Lakes Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are George Fairweather (21 - 10(1)) who hails from Columbus, USA and John Mein(18(3) - 12(7)) from Minneapolis, USA.  Both Fairweather and Mein weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jake Kellis, and the three ringside judges are Jamie Sheedy, Mark Penning and Jack Pfluger.  

Round 1: 

Mein lands a hard jab.  
Mein closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Mein holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Fairweather pushes his forearm into Mein's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fairweather steps to the outside.  Mein tries to land a jab, but Fairweather sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Fairweather closes the distance.  Mein pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mein throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Mein clinches his opponent.  Mein is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mein.  
Mein wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Fairweather has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Mein hits home with a right uppercut.  Mein holds on to his opponent.  Mein uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Fairweather's kidney. Mein wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fairweather dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Fairweather is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mein lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mein steps inside and is on target with a firm right hook to Fairweather's body.  
Mein lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mein throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Mein ties up his opponent.  Fairweather is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Fairweather and breaks the clinch.  
Fairweather is on target with a left hook.  
Mein walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Mein lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Fairweather throws a right hook, but Mein holds on to his opponent.  Mein leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mein hits home with a right hook.  Mein clinches his opponent.  Mein leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
