Tariq Ismael vs Amer Baccus

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Johor promoted show at Amjad Haider Gym, Johor Bahru,  taking place on 01/08/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Malaysia-Johor Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tariq Ismael (6 - 8 - 5) who hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Amer Baccus(13 - 11(1) - 2) from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  Both Ismael and Baccus weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Khalid Lodhi, and the three ringside judges are Khalid Lodhi, Farhan Younis and Azam Hamdan.  

Round 1: 

Baccus sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ismael connects with a left hook.  
Ismael gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Baccus forces Ismael to retreat into a corner.  Baccus pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.

That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
