Paul Couch vs James Merson

Boxing Daily Report from the Elliot Britton promoted show at Elliot Gym, Bristol,  taking place on 28/07/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Paul Couch (6 - 0) who hails from Doncaster, UK and James Merson(7 - 3 - 3) from Nottingham, UK.  Couch weighed in at 121 pounds And 9 ounces, while Merson weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ashley Gilkeson, and the three ringside judges are Duncan Whelan, Dominic Ready and Zach Donaghue.  

Round 1: 

Couch closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Couch lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Couch lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Couch hits home with a right uppercut.  
Couch steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Couch lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Couch holds on to his opponent.  Couch leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Couch attempts to land a left hook, but Merson parries the shot and counters with a cross.
