Michael Santillan vs John Wharry

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at North Gym, Minneapolis,  taking place on 24/07/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Michael Santillan (1 - 0) who hails from Miramar, USA and John Wharry(1 - 3) from Charlotte, USA.  Both Santillan and Wharry weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Phil Bertel, and the three ringside judges are Greg Pelle, Phil Bertel and Charlie Genz.  

Round 1: 

Santillan lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Santillan advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Santillan lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Santillan closes the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Santillan lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Santillan steps inside.  Santillan sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Wharry hits home with a left uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wharry dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Wharry tries to keep the action at long range.  Santillan is on target with a firm cross.  
Wharry lands a cross.  
Santillan closes the distance.  Santillan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Wharry's body.  
Wharry steps away from his opponent.  Santillan lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Santillan gets on the inside and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Santillan manages to force Wharry into a corner.  Santillan lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Santillan is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Santillan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Santillan lands a right uppercut.  
Santillan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into Wharry's liver.

Santillan closes the distance.  Santillan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Wharry tries to step out of his opponents range.  Santillan hits home with an overhand right.  
Wharry tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Santillan advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Santillan is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  Santillan throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Santillan lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.

Santillan digs in a left hook to Wharry's body.  Santillan throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Wharry time to recover.  
Santillan lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Santillan steps inside and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Santillan is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Wharry steps to the outside.  Santillan connects with a cross.  
Santillan advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut to Wharry's body.  
Santillan lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Santillan pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Santillan lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.
