Ollie Stevison vs Charles Whigham

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at North Gym, Minneapolis,  taking place on 24/07/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ollie Stevison (1 - 0) who hails from Louisville, USA and Charles Whigham(0 - 0 - 1) from Columbus, USA.  Both Stevison and Whigham weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Phil Bertel, and the three ringside judges are Greg Pelle, Phil Bertel and Charlie Genz.  

Round 1: 

Stevison lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Stevison lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Stevison lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Whigham switches the action to the outside.  Stevison lands a cross.  
Stevison is on target with a left uppercut to Whigham's ribs.  Stevison clinches his opponent.  Stevison uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Whigham behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Stevison.  
Stevison steps inside.  Stevison pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Whigham's liver.

Stevison is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Stevison closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Stevison connects with a right hook.  Stevison clinches his opponent.  Stevison pushes his forearm into Whigham's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Stevison advances into close range.  Stevison quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Whigham throws a right uppercut, but Stevison holds on to his opponent.  Stevison pushes his forearm into Whigham's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Stevison about fouling.

Stevison closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to Whigham's liver.  
Stevison manouvers Whigham into a corner.  Stevison lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Stevison ties up his opponent.  Stevison tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Whigham's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Stevison to stop fouling.

Stevison is on target with a right hook to Whigham's ribcage.  
Stevison lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Whigham's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Whigham's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Whigham's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
