Jacob Fergus vs Duncan Boyle

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Allphones Arena, Sydney,  taking place on 06/09/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Australia Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jacob Fergus (24(18) - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Duncan Boyle(21(3) - 7(4) - 1) from Perth, Australia.  Fergus weighed in at 228 pounds and 4 ounces, while Boyle weighed in at 240 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Hugh Bobko, and the three ringside judges are Michael Kaplan, Brendan Gillie and Kai Hanigan.  

Round 1: 

Boyle hits home with an overhand left.

Fergus lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Fergus throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  Boyle quickly recovers.

Fergus lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Fergus switches the action to the outside and is on target with a sharp overhand right.  
Boyle lands a ramrod jab.  Boyle tries to land a cross, but Fergus sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.

Boyle gets on the inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Boyle quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Boyle is on target with a right uppercut to Fergus's body.  
Boyle throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Boyle is on target with a jab.  
Fergus steps away from his opponent and lands a ramrod jab.  
Fergus finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Boyle throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Fergus finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Fergus is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Fergus steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Boyle drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  Boyle tries to land a left hook, but Fergus blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Boyle manouvers Fergus onto the ropes.  Fergus connects with a sharp right hook.  
Fergus tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Boyle lands with a spiteful jab.  
Boyle attempts to land a jab, but Fergus slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fergus's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Boyle's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Boyle manages to force Fergus onto the ropes.  Fergus drives a left hook into Boyle's body.  
Fergus tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Boyle almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Fergus throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Boyle advances into close range.  Fergus lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Fergus is on target with a jab.  
Fergus attempts to land a jab, but Boyle blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Fergus tries to keep the action at long range and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Fergus drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Fergus pivots to the left of his opponent.  Fergus tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Fergus tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Fergus lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Fergus is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Fergus lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES BOYLE!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Fergus connects with a BRUTAL right hook.  DOWN GOES BOYLE!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Fergus!
