Francis Blanc vs Laramie Mellett

Boxing Daily Report from the AI France-Upper Normandy promoted show at Alain Romand Gym, Rouen,  taking place on 19/07/2031:

Clearly AI France-Upper Normandy have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the France-Upper Normandy Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Francis Blanc (3 - 4 - 1) who hails from Le Havre, France and Laramie Mellett(19(3) - 1) from Rouen, France.  Both Blanc and Mellett weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Algernon Nodine, and the three ringside judges are Denis Perrault, Valentin Robert and Franklin Oulette.  

Round 1: 

Mellett gets on the inside.  Blanc pivots to the side of his opponent.  Blanc throws a left uppercut, but Mellett holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Mellett pushes his forearm into Blanc's face.  The ref breaks Mellett's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mellett pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mellett drives a right hook into Blanc's body.  
Mellett lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Blanc throws a left hook, but Mellett ties up his opponent.  Blanc leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Mellett pushes his forearm into Blanc's face.  The referee warns Mellett and breaks the clinch.  
Mellett steps inside and throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Mellett clinches his opponent.  Blanc is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Blanc about fouling.  
Mellett lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Blanc sidesteps to the right of his opponent and throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Mellett time to recover.  
Mellett sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Mellett drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Mellett lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mellett drives a left hook into Blanc's liver.  
Mellett lands with a hard jab.  
Blanc tries to land a jab, but Mellett slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Blanc's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Round 2: 

Blanc tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mellett is on target with a jab.  
Mellett is looking to close the distance.  Blanc throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Blanc tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mellett circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Blanc attempts to land a cross, but Mellett blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mellett is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Mellett tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mellett walks Blanc down, trapping him in a corner.  Mellett pivots to the side of his opponent.  Blanc connects with a left hook.  
Blanc backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Mellett accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Blanc.  Mellett drives a right hook into Blanc's ribs.  
Mellett closes the distance.  Mellett pivots to the left of his opponent.  Mellett lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mellett throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mellett is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Mellett lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  As Mellett tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Blanc dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mellett steps inside and is on target with a sharp left hook to Blanc's liver.  
Mellett lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DROPS BLANC!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Blanc quickly recovers. 
Blanc steps to the outside.  Mellett hits home with a cross.  
Mellett throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Mellett holds on to his opponent.  Mellett leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Mellett's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mellett sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a firm cross.  
Mellett lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Blanc's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Blanc's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Mellett connects with a cross.  
Mellett attempts to land a right hook, but Blanc blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mellett lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Blanc recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mellett steps inside and is on target with a telling right hook to Blanc's ribs.  DOWN GOES BLANC!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Mellett gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Mellett drives a right hook into Blanc's body.  
Mellett drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Mellett advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Mellett ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mellett is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Blanc steps to the outside.  Mellett sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a hard jab.

Mellett drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Mellett is on target with a right hook to Blanc's body.  
Blanc tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mellett feints a jab, fooling Blanc into launching a left uppercut counter.  Mellett springs the trap, countering with  a right hook.  
Mellett gets on the inside and is on target with a firm left uppercut to Blanc's body.  
Mellett advances into close range.  Mellett quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Blanc tries to keep the action at long range.  Mellett drives a nasty cross into his opponents body.  BLANC WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Mellett knows Blanc is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Mellett lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  It looks like Blanc has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Blanc tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Mellett slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mellett lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mellett advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND SENDS BLANC SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Mellett clinches his opponent.  Mellett tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Blanc's kidney. The ref breaks Mellett's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mellett is on target with a right hook to Blanc's ribs.
