Connor Methven vs Dai Fulton

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Agganis Arena, Boston,  taking place on 30/08/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Connor Methven (2 - 0) who hails from Columbus, USA and Dai Fulton(0 - 2) from Sacremento, USA.  Both Methven and Fulton weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bilal Elbaz, and the three ringside judges are Richie MacIsaac, Sam Evans and Nathan Burt.  

Round 1: 

Methven advances into close range.  Methven pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Fulton steps away from his opponent.  Methven feints a jab, fooling Fulton into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Methven is waiting for the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Methven is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Methven manouvers Fulton into the corner.  Methven pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to Fulton's body.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fulton dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Methven hits home with a left hook.  
Methven lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Methven pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Methven pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Fulton throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Methven closes the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Methven hits the target with a solid jab.  
Methven attempts to land a cross, but Fulton sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Methven gets on the inside.  Methven pivots to the side of his opponent.  Fulton throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Methven time to recover.  
Methven is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to Fulton's liver.  
Methven is on target with a left hook to Fulton's liver.  
Methven is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Methven voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Fulton is whaling away with hooks, but Methven keeps his defence tight.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fulton's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
