Leighton Platt vs Melor Merece

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Father David Bauer Olympic Arena, Calgary,  taking place on 16/09/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton Platt (29(14) - 1(1)) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Melor Merece(24(2) - 19(4) - 1) from Almaty, Kazakhstan.  Both Platt and Merece weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Theo Kimmons, and the three ringside judges are Dylan Humiston, Robert Mower and Rob Kitson.
