Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Maison du Citoyen, Gaineau,  taking place on 23/08/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Corey Rodgerson (3(2) - 0) who hails from Markham, Canada and Stuart Doctor(3 - 2) from Edmonton, Canada.  Both Rodgerson and Doctor weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sid Leys, and the three ringside judges are Carvell Brame, James Dunlap and Michael Patillo.  

Round 1:

Doctor attempts to land an overhand left, but Rodgerson blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Rodgerson snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Rodgerson feints a cross, and then is on target with a solid left hook to Doctor's liver.  
Rodgerson is looking to keep his distance.  Doctor tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Doctor feints a jab, but Rodgerson ignores the feint and lands with a right hook to Doctor's body.  
Doctor lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Rodgerson tries to step out of his opponents range and EXPLODES a mean overhand right into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE DOCTOR WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Doctor almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Doctor attempts to land a jab, but Rodgerson sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Rodgerson lands a spiteful jab.  
Rodgerson steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Rodgerson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rodgerson lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Rodgerson tries to land a cross, but Doctor blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rodgerson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Doctor's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Doctor steps inside.  Rodgerson pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Rodgerson hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Rodgerson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Rodgerson lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Doctor quickly recovers. 
Doctor throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Rodgerson connects with a stinging cross.  
Rodgerson waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Doctor digs in a left hook to Rodgerson's body.  
Rodgerson switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Rodgerson feints a right hook, and then hits home with a cross.  
Doctor steps inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Rodgerson lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Rodgerson ties up his opponent.  Rodgerson is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Doctor advances into close range.  Doctor sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rodgerson lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Rodgerson tries to land a left uppercut, but Doctor blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Rodgerson steps to the outside and is on target with a big cross.  DOCTOR WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Doctor quickly recovers. 
Rodgerson lands an overhand right to the head, a jab to the head and a jab to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Rodgerson senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Rodgerson lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, DROPPING DOCTOR TO THE CANVAS!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Rodgerson!
