Angel Picon vs Santiago Machuca

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Manabi promoted show at Manta Regalado, Manta,  taking place on 18/08/2031:

Clearly AI Ecuador-Manabi have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Manabi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Angel Picon (9(2) - 1) who hails from Portoviejo, Ecuador and Santiago Machuca(7 - 11 - 7) from Manta, Ecuador.  Both Picon and Machuca weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Manny Santiesteban, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Cruz, Dario Cruz and Manny Santiesteban.  

Round 1: 

Machuca closes the distance.  Picon lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Picon feints a left, and then is on target with a cross.  
Picon steps inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Picon lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Picon digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Picon lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Picon gets on the inside and manouvers Machuca onto the ropes.  Machuca throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Picon time to recover.  
Picon connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Picon lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Picon lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Picon steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Machuca quickly recovers. 
Machuca tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Picon is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Picon lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Picon hits home with a right uppercut.  
Picon lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Picon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Picon connects with a left hook.  Picon clinches his opponent.  Picon pushes his forearm into Machuca's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Picon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Machuca is looking to close the distance.  Picon lands a left hook.  
Picon lands a stinging left hook.  
Picon is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Picon clinches his opponent.  Picon leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Picon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Picon is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  Picon holds on to his opponent.  Picon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Picon and breaks the clinch.  
Machuca lands a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Machuca's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Machuca closes the distance.  Picon is on target with a right hook.  Picon ties up his opponent.  Picon uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Machuca's kidney. The referee warns Picon and breaks the clinch.  
Picon hits home with a firm right hook.  
Picon hits home with a left hook.  
Picon manouvers Machuca onto the ropes.  Picon lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Picon lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Picon lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Picon steps inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Picon connects with a firm left hook.  
Machuca is on target with a jab.  
Picon advances into close range and forces Machuca to back into the ropes.  Picon digs in a right hook to Machuca's body.  
Picon drives a solid jab into his opponents face.  
Picon gets on the inside.  Machuca sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Picon lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Machuca quickly recovers. 
Picon is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Picon steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Picon lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Picon manages to force Machuca into a corner.  Picon lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Picon hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Picon lands a jab.  
Picon gets on the inside and lands two left uppercuts followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Machuca quickly recovers. 
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Machuca's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Machuca's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Picon pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a potent left hook into Machuca's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACHUCA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Machuca almost instantly recovers.

Picon EXPLODES a nasty right hook into his opponents face.  MACHUCA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Some sustained pressure from Picon could be enough to finish Machuca!  Picon lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND SENDS MACHUCA TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Picon!
