Mike Mordecai vs Gethin Gowen

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Connecticut promoted show at James Speir Gym, New Haven,  taking place on 18/08/2031:

Clearly AI USA-Connecticut have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Connecticut Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mike Mordecai (3 - 8 - 1) who hails from Stamford, USA and Gethin Gowen(4 - 0) from Bridgeport, USA.  Both Mordecai and Gowen weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Catanach, and the three ringside judges are Jack Blaney, Davie Fitzroy and Andy Swaney.  

Round 1: 

Mordecai is looking to keep his distance.  Gowen is on target with a cross.  
Mordecai switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.
