Montenegro Cepero vs Jose Cuellar

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Cuba-Havana promoted show at Havana Limes, Havana,  taking place on 16/09/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Cuba Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Montenegro Cepero (12 - 12(4) - 3) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Jose Cuellar(7(2) - 1 - 1) from Havana, Cuba.  Cepero weighed in at 117 pounds and 1 ounces, while Cuellar weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Maria, and the three ringside judges are Pedro Pico, Fidel Juarez and Juan Serbin.  

Round 1:

Cepero switches the action to the outside.  Cuellar hits home with a sharp overhand right.  
Cuellar gets on the inside and digs in a solid right hook to Cepero's ribs.

Cepero is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Cuellar sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Cuellar lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Cuellar ties up his opponent.  Cuellar is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cuellar to stop fouling.  
Cuellar closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Cuellar manouvers Cepero into a corner.  Cuellar lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cuellar drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Cuellar steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Cuellar advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Cuellar throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Cuellar clinches his opponent.  Cuellar tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cepero behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cuellar to stop fouling.  
Cuellar is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cepero's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Cepero's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Cuellar steps to the outside.  Cepero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cuellar attempts to land a jab, but Cepero dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cuellar manouvers Cepero into the corner.  Cuellar hits home with a left uppercut.  
Cuellar advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Cuellar clinches his opponent.  Cuellar leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Cuellar feints a cross, but Cepero ignores the feint and responds with a left uppercut.  
Cuellar hits home with a cross.  Cuellar tries to land an overhand right, but Cepero sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cuellar advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Cuellar advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Cuellar advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cuellar gets on the inside and manages to force Cepero onto the ropes.  Cuellar lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Cuellar lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Cuellar knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Cuellar lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS CEPERO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Cuellar digs in a telling right hook to Cepero's ribs.  DOWN GOES CEPERO!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Cuellar lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS CEPERO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Cepero steps away from his opponent.  Cuellar crashes a DESTRUCTIVE right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  CEPERO IS DOWN!  THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT!  HE DOES NOT BELIEVE CEPERO CAN CONTINUE!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Cuellar!
