Jose Hernandez vs Carlos Gallo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Honduras-Francisco Morazan promoted show at Tegucigalpa Lince, Tegucigalpa,  taking place on 21/08/2031:

Clearly AI Honduras-Francisco Morazan have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Honduras-Francisco Morazan Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Hernandez (7 - 6(1) - 2) who hails from Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Carlos Gallo(12(4) - 9 - 2) from Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Both Hernandez and Gallo weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Selestino Arjona, and the three ringside judges are Quito Osuna, Montenegro Sicilia and Fausto Landeros.  

Round 1: 

Gallo walks Hernandez into a neutral corner.  Gallo drives a left hook into Hernandez's body.  
Gallo lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hernandez throws a left hook, but Gallo holds on to his opponent.  Gallo uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Hernandez's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hernandez lands a left hook.  Gallo holds on to his opponent.  Gallo pushes his forearm into Hernandez's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Gallo about fouling.  
Gallo forces Hernandez to back into the ropes.  Gallo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Gallo lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Gallo forces Hernandez to retreat into the red corner.  Hernandez attempts to land a left uppercut, but Gallo sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Gallo steps inside and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  Gallo ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hernandez dabs at his face checking for damage.  Hernandez has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Gallo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Gallo lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Gallo holds on to his opponent.  Gallo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gallo lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Hernandez wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gallo dabs at his face checking for damage.  Hernandez quickly recovers.

Gallo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gallo lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gallo drives a left hook into Hernandez's body.  Gallo clinches his opponent.  Gallo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hernandez throws a left hook, but Gallo ties up his opponent.  Gallo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Gallo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Gallo lands a left uppercut.  
Gallo digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  Gallo ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gallo drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together! That has caused slight damage to the nose.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hernandez's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Hernandez's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Hernandez's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Hernandez's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
