Ashley Sharper vs Jake McCaig

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at 1STBANK Center, Denver,  taking place on 18/10/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ashley Sharper (21(14) - 0) who hails from Denver, USA and Jake McCaig(23(2) - 10(4)) from Cleveland, USA.  Both Sharper and McCaig weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neil Fowlie, and the three ringside judges are Mark Crabb, John Seff and Dylan Johnston.  

Round 1: 

McCaig hits home with a hard jab.  
Sharper is looking to keep his distance.  McCaig lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Sharper tries to step out of his opponents range.  McCaig quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with an overhand left.

McCaig manouvers Sharper onto the ropes.  McCaig lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Sharper throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Sharper lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Sharper switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  Sharper tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McCaig forces Sharper to back into the ropes.  Sharper is on target with a cross.  
McCaig is on target with a jab.  
McCaig feints a jab, and then tries to land a left uppercut, but Sharper sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sharper lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sharper tries to step out of his opponents range.  McCaig connects with a sharp overhand right.
