Akira Otsuka vs Fumio Shimizu

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Tokyo Nakama, Tokyo,  taking place on 19/09/2031:

Clearly Ninja Warriors have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Tokyo Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Akira Otsuka (5 - 10 - 1) who hails from Fuchu, Japan and Fumio Shimizu(7 - 20 - 1) from Machida, Japan.  Both Otsuka and Shimizu weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ichiro Koizumi, and the three ringside judges are Hisoka Enomoto, Kazuhiko Yasuda and Yasushi Shishido.  

Round 1: 

Otsuka cuts off the ring, trapping Shimizu on the ropes.  Otsuka connects with a right hook.  
Otsuka switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Shimizu digs in a right hook to Otsuka's ribs.  
Otsuka closes the distance and tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Shimizu switches the action to the outside.  Otsuka sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Shimizu walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Otsuka hits home with a cross.  
Shimizu pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a jab.

Shimizu is looking to keep his distance.  Shimizu sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Shimizu throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Otsuka time to recover.  
Otsuka gets on the inside.  Shimizu is on target with a left hook.  
Otsuka steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Otsuka sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Shimizu lands a jab.

Otsuka steps inside.  Otsuka pivots to the side of his opponent.  As Shimizu tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Otsuka dabs at his face checking for damage.  Otsuka has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
