Nicandro Monico vs Porfio Carpio

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Wyndham Manta Convection centre, Manta,  taking place on 06/11/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nicandro Monico (9(8) - 1) who hails from Duran, Ecuador and Porfio Carpio(5 - 19 - 6) from Quito, Ecuador.  Monico weighed in at 146 pounds and 5 ounces, while Carpio weighed in at 146 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Gervasio Arroyo, and the three ringside judges are Xaverius Malo, Rio Contrera and Xaverius Malo.  

Round 1: 

Monico steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Monico steps inside.  Carpio throws a right hook, but Monico ties up his opponent.  Monico is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Monico forces Carpio to back into a neutral corner.  Monico digs in a right hook to Carpio's ribcage.  Monico ties up his opponent.  Carpio is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Monico's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Monico throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Monico clinches his opponent.  Monico is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Monico about fouling.  
Carpio switches the action to the outside.  Monico connects with a big cross.  CARPIO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Carpio quickly recovers. 
Monico digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Monico clinches his opponent.  Monico is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Monico pushes his forearm into Carpio's face.  The referee warns Monico and breaks the clinch.  
Monico steps inside and lands a firm left hook.  
Monico feints a cross, and then lands a cross, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Monico is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Monico knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Monico lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a cross to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a cross to the head.  Carpio now seems to have his senses back.  
Monico lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  Monico clinches his opponent.  Monico uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Carpio behind the head. 
Monico manouvers Carpio into the corner.  Monico lands a firm right hook.  
Monico lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Monico lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Monico holds on to his opponent.  Monico is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Monico tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Carpio behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Monico about fouling.  Carpio recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Monico lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Monico holds on to his opponent.  Monico uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Carpio's kidney. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Monico connects with a spiteful right hook.  CARPIO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Monico!
