Jose Pequeno vs Diego Sauceda

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Wyndham Manta Convection centre, Manta,  taking place on 06/11/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Pequeno (9(8) - 0) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Diego Sauceda(12 - 9 - 1) from Bogota, Colombia.  Pequeno weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Sauceda weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Xaverius Malo, and the three ringside judges are Gervasio Arroyo, Rio Contrera and Xaverius Malo.  

Round 1: 

Pequeno steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Pequeno lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Pequeno steps inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Pequeno lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Pequeno holds on to his opponent.  Pequeno is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pequeno walks Sauceda down, trapping him on the ropes.  Pequeno hits home with a solid left uppercut.  Pequeno clinches his opponent.  Pequeno pushes his forearm into Sauceda's face.  The ref breaks Pequeno's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pequeno hits home with a hard jab.  
Pequeno closes the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Sauceda sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Pequeno drives a right hook into Sauceda's body.  Pequeno ties up his opponent.  Pequeno leans on his opponent using all his weight. Pequeno pushes his forearm into Sauceda's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pequeno about fouling.  
Pequeno digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pequeno lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Sauceda tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Pequeno tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Pequeno steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Sauceda attempts to land a left hook, but Pequeno sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Pequeno closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Sauceda almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Pequeno steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sauceda switches the action to the outside.  Pequeno lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Pequeno closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sauceda tries to step out of his opponents range.  Pequeno lands an overhand left to the head, a cross to the body and a cross to the head.  
Pequeno closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Pequeno tries to keep the action at long range.  Pequeno feints a cross, tricking Sauceda into launching a left hook counter.  Pequeno springs the trap and counters with  a FIERCE left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE SAUCEDA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sauceda almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Sauceda switches the action to the outside.  Pequeno lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Pequeno hits home with a hard jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sauceda's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Sauceda's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Sauceda's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Sauceda's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Pequeno tries to step out of his opponents range.  Pequeno feints a left, and then connects with a FEARSOME cross.  SAUCEDA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Sauceda recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Pequeno gets on the inside.  Sauceda throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a spiteful cross.  SAUCEDA IS HURT!  Sauceda recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Pequeno lands with a ramrod jab.  
Pequeno advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Pequeno is on target with a left hook.  
Pequeno lands a double left hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING SAUCEDA DOWN!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Pequeno!
