Vincent Gaw vs Alen Gowans

Boxing Daily Report from the Elliot Britton promoted show at Marriott Hotel, Bristol,  taking place on 20/10/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Southern England Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vincent Gaw (10(6) - 0) who hails from Bristol, UK and Alen Gowans(13 - 9(4) - 3) from London, UK.  Gaw weighed in at 147 pounds, while Gowans weighed in at 147 pounds and 11 ounces.    As Gowans came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Jamie Hayes, and the three ringside judges are Rich MacGibbon, Brendan Malone and Bob Noon.  

Round 1: 

Gowans is on target with a left hook.  
Gaw advances into close range.  Gaw pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Gaw pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Gaw feints a cross, and then lands a stinging jab.  
Gaw voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Gowans tries to tag Gaw on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Gaw advances into close range.  Gowans sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gaw lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Gowans steps to the outside.  Gaw lands a stinging jab.  
Gaw closes the distance and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Gowans slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gaw lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gaw drives a right hook into Gowans's body.  
Gaw lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gowans steps away from his opponent.  Gaw lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gaw lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gowans quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gowans attempts to land a cross, but Gaw sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Gaw digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Gaw closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gowans quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gaw lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Gaw steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Gowans tries to step out of his opponents range.  Gaw finds the target with a jab.  
Gaw closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gowans's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Gowans's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Gowans's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Gaw is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Gaw is on target with a left hook.  Gaw tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gaw drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Gowans steps to the outside.  Gaw is on target with a jab.

Gaw tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gaw is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Gaw is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Gaw lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Gaw lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Gaw senses Gowans is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Gaw is on target with a mean left hook.  GOWANS IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Gowans now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Gowans pivots to the side of his opponent.  Gaw drives a solid right hook into Gowans's ribcage.  
Gaw steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Frustration is reaching boiling point for Gowans now.   He turns Gaw and throws an uppercut into his opponents groin area!  The ref doesnt appear to have noticed the foul and signals for the action to continue.  
Gaw closes the distance and lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gowans steps away from his opponent and tries to land an overhand left, but Gaw sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Gaw closes the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
Gaw lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gowans steps away from his opponent.  Gaw lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Gowans is getting frustrated here.   He steps inside, but then strikes Gaw with a blatant low blow!  The ref takes no action over the foul, despite complaints from Gaw.  
Gowans quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gowans throws a left hook, but Gaw clinches his opponent.  Gaw is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Gaw is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Gaw's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gaw lands two left hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gaw closes the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Gaw advances into close range.  Gowans pivots to the right of his opponent.  Gaw lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

Gaw drives a potent left hook into his opponents body.  DOWN GOES GOWANS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Gaw steps inside and lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gaw finds the target with a jab.  
Gaw lands a jab.  
Gaw steps inside.  You can sense the frustration from Gowans now.   He catches his opponent with what looks like an intentional butt!  The ref halts the action and sends Gaw to the neutral corner.    He warns Gowans that he is heading for a point deduction.  
Gaw lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Gowans is looking to keep his distance and connects with an overhand left.  
Gaw lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head, AND SENDS GOWANS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Gaw!
