Seamus Brannon vs Makalo Mooka

Boxing Daily Report from the Donnelly Boxing promoted show at Obiajulu Chibile Gym, Kitwe,  taking place on 17/10/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Seamus Brannon (5(3) - 1) who hails from Bangor, UK and Makalo Mooka(1 - 2 - 3) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Both Brannon and Mooka weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mykelti Shona, and the three ringside judges are Udenwa Chizyuka, Jasper Munda and Antwan Mombelela.  

Round 1: 

Brannon lands an overhand right.  
Brannon lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Brannon lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mooka closes the distance.  Brannon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Brannon throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Brannon ties up his opponent.  Brannon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mooka is looking to close the distance.  Brannon lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Brannon feints a cross, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Mooka throws a right hook, but Brannon ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Brannon tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.

Mooka gets on the inside and walks Brannon down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mooka throws a left hook, but Brannon ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Brannon pushes his forearm into Mooka's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Brannon about fouling.  
Mooka closes the distance.  Brannon pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Brannon switches the action to the outside and lands two jab's to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Mooka advances into close range.  Brannon attempts to land a left hook, but Mooka slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mooka's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Mooka's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Mooka's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
