Joel Sou vs Lee Qin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Sarawak promoted show at Kuching Baluch, Kuching,  taking place on 24/10/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Malaysia-Sarawak Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joel Sou (12 - 6 - 5) who hails from Kuching, Malaysia and Lee Qin(12 - 9 - 3) from Kuching, Malaysia.  Both Sou and Qin weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Haaris Mahfouz, and the three ringside judges are Waqas Ayoub, Sajid Sheikh and Hugh Cheng.  

Round 1: 

Sou is looking to close the distance.  Qin drives a left hook into Sou's ribs.  
Sou steps to the outside.  Qin lands a cross.  
Sou closes the distance.  Sou voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Qin steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Qin drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Sou is on target with a jab.  
Qin throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Sou hits home with a left hook.  
Sou steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Qin drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Sou is on target with a jab.  
Qin connects with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sou's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Qin's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Sou has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.
