Alejandro Mero vs Vicente Villafuerte

Boxing Daily Report from the Kajoba Promotions promoted show at Torreon Espinal, Torreon,  taking place on 28/10/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alejandro Mero (15 - 3(1)) who hails from Monterrey, Mexico and Vicente Villafuerte(15(3) - 1) from Saltillo, Mexico.  Mero weighed in at 115 pounds, while Villafuerte weighed in at 114 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ovidio Cosio, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Canseco, Dimos Lona and Santiago Lozon.

Mero knows Villafuerte is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Mero SLAMS a VICIOUS right uppercut into his opponents face.  VILLAFUERTE IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Villafuerte now seems to have his senses back.  
Villafuerte advances into close range.  Mero pivots to the right of his opponent.  Mero throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Mero ties up his opponent.  Villafuerte is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Mero switches the action to the outside and lands a telling overhand right.  VILLAFUERTE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Mero senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Mero lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, AND VILLAFUERTE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Villafuerte cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Mero!
