Ashley Hopping vs Zachary Logie

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Masonic Temple, Detroit,  taking place on 01/11/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ashley Hopping (3(1) - 0) who hails from Bridgeport, USA and Zachary Logie(1 - 0 - 1) from Peoria, USA.  Both Hopping and Logie weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cole Quigg, and the three ringside judges are Jonathan Bees, Lewis Chiens and Leon Russell.  

Round 1: 

Hopping is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  
Hopping lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Logie attempts to land a right hook, but Hopping blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Hopping attempts to land a right uppercut, but Logie blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hopping closes the distance.  Hopping pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Hopping connects with a left uppercut.  
Hopping drives a left uppercut into Logie's liver.  
Hopping walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Hopping digs in a firm right hook to Logie's body.  Hopping attempts to land a left uppercut, but Logie blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Logie is looking to keep his distance.  Hopping quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Hopping is on target with a left hook to Logie's body.  Hopping throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to Hopping's body.  
Hopping forces Logie to back into a neutral corner.  Hopping digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hopping pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a firm right hook to Logie's ribcage.  
Hopping lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hopping lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Hopping clinches his opponent.  Hopping is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  As Hopping tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Logie dabs at his face checking for damage.

Logie pivots from in front of his opponent.  Hopping lands a firm cross.  
Hopping gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Logie's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Logie's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Logie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Hopping voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Logie steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Hopping lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Hopping lands with a stiff jab.  
Hopping closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hopping lands a left hook.  
Hopping lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Logie sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hopping drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Hopping throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Logie hits home with a right uppercut.  
Hopping lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Logie's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Hopping lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Hopping attempts to land a right uppercut, but Logie blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.

Logie sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hopping lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Hopping ties up his opponent.  Logie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Hopping's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
