Oliver Walter vs Sam Downey

Boxing Daily Report from the Bimi Promotions promoted show at Athens Meldrum, Athens,  taking place on 31/10/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Georgia Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Oliver Walter (15 - 9(1) - 3) who hails from Atlanta, USA and Sam Downey(18(1) - 2(1)) from Augusta, USA.  Walter weighed in at 167 pounds and 6 ounces, while Downey weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dai Gibson, and the three ringside judges are Leo Crowder, Mick Sander and Arran Culp.  

Round 1: 

Downey closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Downey walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Downey lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Downey ties up his opponent.  Downey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Walter is looking to keep his distance.  Downey hits home with an overhand left.

Downey holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Walter pushes his forearm into Downey's face.  The referee warns Walter and breaks the clinch.
