Tobias Pottenger vs Bart Paterson

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Windsor Hotel Ballroom, Montreal,  taking place on 08/11/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tobias Pottenger (4(2) - 0) who hails from Halifax, Canada and Bart Paterson(0 - 3(1) - 1) from Gaineau, Canada.  Both Pottenger and Paterson weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Popkin, and the three ringside judges are Mark Mostyn, Stephen Morton and Michael Oliver.  

Round 1: 

Pottenger steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Pottenger is looking to keep his distance and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Pottenger hits home with a cross.  
Pottenger lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a straight 1 - 2, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Paterson recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Paterson gets on the inside.  Pottenger lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Paterson steps inside.  Pottenger lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Paterson manages to force Pottenger onto the ropes.  Pottenger lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Pottenger lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Pottenger lands a cross.  
Pottenger steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Pottenger tries to land a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Paterson steps inside.  Pottenger pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pottenger lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Pottenger holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pottenger pushes his forearm into Paterson's face.  The referee warns Pottenger and breaks the clinch.  
Pottenger steps to the outside and lands a solid jab.  
Paterson closes the distance.  Pottenger lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  Pottenger clinches his opponent.  Pottenger leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pottenger is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab.  
Paterson is looking to close the distance.  Pottenger lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Pottenger hits home with an overhand right.  
Pottenger lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Paterson finds the target with a jab.  Paterson tries to land a jab, but Pottenger slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pottenger is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Paterson advances into close range.  Pottenger lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pottenger digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pottenger lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Paterson is looking to close the distance.  Pottenger lands a left hook.  Pottenger holds on to his opponent.  Pottenger leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  As Pottenger tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Paterson dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Pottenger tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Paterson closes the distance.  Pottenger lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Pottenger throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  Paterson quickly recovers. 
Pottenger hits the target with a hard jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Paterson's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Paterson's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Pottenger is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Pottenger feints a right, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.
