Edmondo Valenzi vs Luca De Giovanni

Boxing Daily Report from the Akuffo Promotions promoted show at Modena Turro, Modena,  taking place on 23/11/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Italy-Emilia-Romagna Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Edmondo Valenzi (18(3) - 3 - 3) who hails from Parma, Italy and Luca De Giovanni(8 - 9(1) - 2) from Modena, Italy.  Valenzi weighed in at 135 pounds, while De Giovanni weighed in at 135 pounds And 14 ounces.    As De Giovanni came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Vanni La Russa, and the three ringside judges are Colombo Papapietro, Rocco De Nucci and Sergio Gabriele.

De Giovanni is looking to close the distance and forces Valenzi to back into a neutral corner.  Valenzi DETONATES a nasty right hook on his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE DE GIOVANNI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  De Giovanni almost instantly gets his legs back. 
De Giovanni hits home with a cross.  
Valenzi steps away from his opponent and tries to land a jab, but De Giovanni slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Valenzi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging cross.  
Valenzi pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
De Giovanni steps inside.  Valenzi pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND DROPS DE GIOVANNI TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Valenzi tries to step out of his opponents range.  Some sustained pressure from Valenzi could be enough to finish De Giovanni!  Valenzi lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND DE GIOVANNI IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  De Giovanni now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
De Giovanni advances into close range.  Valenzi pivots from in front of his opponent.  Valenzi lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Valenzi clinches his opponent.  Valenzi pushes his forearm into De Giovanni's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Valenzi.
