Gerald Mekongo vs Fletcher Feudjou

Boxing Daily Report from the Mulia Promotions promoted show at Maroua Messier, Maroua,  taking place on 13/12/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CRTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gerald Mekongo (30(12) - 4) who hails from Bamenda, Cameroon and Fletcher Feudjou(14 - 10(1) - 2) from Maroua, Cameroon.  Both Mekongo and Feudjou weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Reinald Guyotat, and the three ringside judges are Sergeant Mabouka, Canon Machin and Marc Ongandzi.  

Round 1: 

Feudjou throws a left uppercut, but Mekongo ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mekongo pushes his forearm into Feudjou's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mekongo closes the distance.  Feudjou throws a left hook, but Mekongo clinches his opponent.  Mekongo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Feudjou voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Mekongo tries to tag Feudjou on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Mekongo lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Mekongo digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Feudjou steps inside.  Mekongo pivots to the right of his opponent and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Mekongo drives a left hook into Feudjou's body.  Mekongo clinches his opponent.  Mekongo pushes his forearm into Feudjou's face.  The referee warns Mekongo and breaks the clinch.  
Mekongo steps inside.  Mekongo pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mekongo lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Feudjou quickly recovers. 
Mekongo digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Mekongo lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Mekongo steps inside.  Mekongo pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stinging left hook to Feudjou's body.

Mekongo lands a stinging left hook.  Mekongo ties up his opponent.  Mekongo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mekongo lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mekongo drives a potent left hook into Feudjou's body.  FEUDJOU IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 7.  
Mekongo lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Feudjou throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Mekongo lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Mekongo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mekongo gets on the inside and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Mekongo lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Mekongo ties up his opponent.  Mekongo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Mekongo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Mekongo throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Mekongo's ribcage.  Feudjou recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mekongo feints a cross, but Feudjou does not fall for it and responds with a right uppercut.  
Mekongo digs in a right hook to Feudjou's body.  
Mekongo pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Mekongo drives a left uppercut into Feudjou's ribs.  
Mekongo lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Feudjou almost instantly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Feudjou's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Feudjou throws a left hook, but Mekongo clinches his opponent.  Mekongo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Feudjou behind the head.

Mekongo lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND DROPS FEUDJOU TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Feudjou almost instantly recovers.
