Brendan Frew vs Danny Fowlie

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-New South Wales promoted show at Newcastle Jones, Newcastle,  taking place on 11/12/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia-New South Wales Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brendan Frew (22(5) - 4(1) - 2) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Danny Fowlie(15 - 8(1) - 3) from Sydney, Australia.  Frew weighed in at 118 pounds, while Fowlie weighed in at 117 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bob Solomon, and the three ringside judges are David Corrie, Cody Broadley and Rob Byrne.  

Round 1: 

Frew connects with a cross.  
Frew lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  Frew ties up his opponent.  Frew pushes his forearm into Fowlie's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fowlie lands a right hook.  
Frew lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Frew sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Frew is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Frew holds on to his opponent.  Frew leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Frew's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Frew closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Fowlie throws a right hook, but Frew ties up his opponent.  Frew uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Fowlie behind the head. The ref breaks Frew's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Frew closes the distance and walks Fowlie onto the ropes.  Frew drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Frew drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Frew holds on to his opponent.  Frew uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Fowlie behind the head.

Frew throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Fowlie to the neutral corner.  He tells Frew he will lose a point if he continues to foul.  
Frew digs in a stinging left hook to Fowlie's body.  
Frew lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Fowlie almost instantly recovers. 
Frew walks his opponent into the corner.  Frew drives a right uppercut into Fowlie's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fowlie's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Fowlie's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Fowlie's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Frew feints a cross, and then is on target with a jab.  
Frew is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook.  
Frew lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Frew tries to land a right uppercut, but Fowlie parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Frew drives a weighty right hook into his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE FOWLIE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Fowlie recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Frew lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND DROPS FOWLIE!  He is back up on his feet at 5.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Frew.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.

Fowlie attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Frew to the neutral corner.  He lectures Fowlie but does not take away a point.

Frew pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Fowlie is clearly losing his cool here!   He swings an uppercut into his opponents groin! The ref halts the action and sends Frew to the neutral corner.    He tells Fowlie to stop fouling or face a points deduction.

Frew advances into close range.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Frew dabs at his face checking for damage.

Frew sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Frew lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND DROPS FOWLIE TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Frew!
