Michael Edris vs Gareth Iverson

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Auckland promoted show at Auckland Bonar, Auckland,  taking place on 23/12/2031:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Auckland have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Edris (4(3) - 1) who hails from Waitakere, New Zealand and Gareth Iverson(11 - 7(1) - 7) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Both Edris and Iverson weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matthew Chisholm, and the three ringside judges are Joey Bridgeforth, Mike Sproule and Blake Brown.  

Round 1: 

Edris lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Edris steps inside and tries to land a right hook, but Iverson slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Edris quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Iverson quickly recovers. 
Iverson is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Edris lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Edris forces Iverson to back into the red corner.  Edris lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Iverson tries to step out of his opponents range.  Edris lands a hard jab.  
Edris is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Edris lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Edris lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Edris lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Edris dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Edris throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Edris manages to force Iverson into the corner.  Edris hits home with a solid right hook.  
Edris digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Edris advances into close range.  Edris quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Edris drives a stinging right hook into Iverson's body.  
Edris steps inside.  Iverson throws a right uppercut, but Edris clinches his opponent.  Edris pushes his forearm into Iverson's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Edris.  
Edris steps inside and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Iverson steps to the outside.  Edris lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Edris pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Edris pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Iverson's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Iverson's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Iverson's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Iverson tries to keep the action at long range.  Edris snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Edris gets on the inside.  Edris sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Iverson hits home with a right uppercut.  
Edris lands a firm right hook.  
Edris closes the distance and connects with a firm left hook.

Edris lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Edris walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Edris lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Iverson finds the target with a jab.  
Edris gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Edris is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Edris slams a nasty left uppercut into Iverson's body.  IVERSON IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE ISNT GOING TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Edris!
