Diego Leston vs Alfonso Mercedes

Boxing Daily Report from the Rj promoted show at Ponce Pio, Ponce,  taking place on 29/12/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Puerto Rico-Ponce Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Puerto Rico Sports Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Leston (8(4) - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Alfonso Mercedes(21(2) - 9(1) - 2) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  Leston weighed in at 147 pounds, while Mercedes weighed in at 146 pounds.
