Luis Gonzalez vs Leighton Maffett

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Blaisdell Ballroom, Honolulu,  taking place on 30/12/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Luis Gonzalez (2(1) - 0) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Leighton Maffett(3 - 0 - 1) from Chicago, USA.  Both Gonzalez and Maffett weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tobias Meek, and the three ringside judges are Jay Ardrey, Peter Ferrante and Ethan Rhoderick.

Maffett closes the distance.  Gonzalez drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Gonzalez clinches his opponent.  Gonzalez leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Maffett advances into close range and manages to force Gonzalez onto the ropes.  Gonzalez hits home with a right hook.  
Gonzalez tries to keep the action at long range and strikes his opponents body with a sharp cross.  
Gonzalez connects with a solid overhand right.
