Chris Alan vs Peter Rodden

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Oregon promoted show at Salem Douglas, Salem,  taking place on 30/12/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Oregon Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Alan (11(4) - 1) who hails from Portland, USA and Peter Rodden(4 - 5 - 2) from Eugene, USA.  Alan weighed in at 112 pounds, while Rodden weighed in at 111 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Brett Edmison, and the three ringside judges are Baltasar Mijares, Kian Bilbao and Theo Wight.  

Round 1: 

Alan is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Alan steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Alan steps inside.  Alan pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Rodden attempts to land a left hook, but Alan slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Alan gets on the inside.  Alan pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Alan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Alan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a solid jab into his opponents face.  
Rodden throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Rodden forces Alan to retreat onto the ropes.  Rodden tries to land a cross, but Alan slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Rodden closes the distance.  Alan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Alan steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Alan tries to keep the action at long range and lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Alan advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Rodden closes the distance.  Alan lands a left hook.

Alan closes the distance.  Alan pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Alan pivots to the side of his opponent.  Alan is on target with a cross.  Alan attempts to land a jab, but Rodden sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Alan lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Alan gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Alan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Alan switches the action to the outside.  Rodden throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Alan advances into close range.  Rodden throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Alan contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Rodden tries to land a jab, but Alan slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Alan advances into close range and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alan pivots to the right of his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Rodden is looking to close the distance.  Alan digs in a solid left hook to Rodden's body.  
Alan gets on the inside.  Alan pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Alan drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Alan closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Alan pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  It looks like Rodden has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Alan advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Alan is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Alan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Alan lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Alan closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Alan pivots to the left of his opponent and slams a hurtful right hook into Rodden's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE RODDEN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Alan is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Alan lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS RODDEN DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Rodden tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  It looks like Rodden has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Alan is on target with a spiteful jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Rodden's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Alan is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Alan lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND RODDEN IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Alan lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS RODDEN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Rodden cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Alan!
