Mark Cherkoian vs Paul Gibbs

Boxing Daily Report from the No Limit promoted show at Malcolm Duffy Gym, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 02/01/2032:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Cherkoian (12 - 6(2) - 2) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Paul Gibbs(13(9) - 1) from Gold Coast, Australia.  Both Cherkoian and Gibbs weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fraser McNabb, and the three ringside judges are Justin Din, Fraser McNabb and Dave Antoni.  

Round 1: 

Gibbs lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Gibbs walks Cherkoian down, trapping him on the ropes.  Gibbs digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Gibbs clinches his opponent.  Gibbs is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Gibbs and breaks the clinch.

Cherkoian connects with a left uppercut.  Cherkoian tries to land a cross, but Gibbs slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gibbs lands a left hook.  
Gibbs lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gibbs closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cherkoian is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gibbs hits home with a solid cross.  
Gibbs manages to force Cherkoian onto the ropes.  Gibbs is on target with a left uppercut to Cherkoian's body.  
Gibbs throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Gibbs clinches his opponent.  Gibbs is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Cherkoian steps away from his opponent.  Gibbs lands a cross, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Gibbs steps inside and walks Cherkoian onto the ropes.  Gibbs lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Cherkoian is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cherkoian's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Cherkoian's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Cherkoian's trainer is passing on some tactical advice. Gibbs is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  Gibbs throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Cherkoian steps away from his opponent.  Gibbs lands with a hard jab.  
Gibbs gets on the inside and manouvers Cherkoian onto the ropes.  Gibbs lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gibbs lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.
