Elias Carpio vs Pablo Cordon

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Estadio Independecia, Managua,  taking place on 01/03/2032:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Nicaragua Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Elias Carpio (14(12) - 1) who hails from Leon, Nicaragua and Pablo Cordon(23 - 4(1)) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Both Carpio and Cordon weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Francisco Osegueda, and the three ringside judges are Alano Pio, Alejandro Londono and Lorenzo San Angelo.  

Round 1: 

Carpio feints a cross, and then drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Carpio is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carpio drives a firm left hook into Cordon's ribs.  
Cordon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Carpio lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Carpio lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Carpio lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cordon lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Carpio attempts to land a cross, but Cordon sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Cordon drives a sharp jab into his opponents face.  
Carpio advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Carpio digs in a sharp left hook to Cordon's body.  
Carpio lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Cordon lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Carpio connects with a cross.  
Carpio steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Carpio lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Carpio is looking to close the distance.  Carpio quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Carpio gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Carpio clinches his opponent.  Carpio pushes his forearm into Cordon's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Cordon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Cordon throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Carpio clinches his opponent.  Carpio is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Carpio's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Carpio is on target with a left hook.  
Carpio steps inside.  Cordon pivots to the right of his opponent.  Carpio lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cordon drives a left hook into Carpio's ribs.  
Carpio advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  
Cordon tries to land a jab, but Carpio slips the shot and counters with a FEARSOME left uppercut.  CORDON IS HURT!  
Cordon is looking to keep his distance.  Carpio senses Cordon is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Carpio connects with a BRUTAL left hook.  DOWN GOES CORDON!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Cordon now seems to have got his legs back.

Carpio connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Carpio closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Carpio steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Cordon is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cordon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cordon attempts to land a right hook, but Carpio blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Cordon attempts to land a cross, but Carpio blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Carpio tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Carpio is on target with a solid left hook to Cordon's body.  
Cordon pivots to the left of his opponent.  Cordon throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Carpio holds on to his opponent.  Carpio leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Cordon lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Carpio gets on the inside and drives a firm left uppercut into Cordon's body.  
Carpio connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Carpio closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cordon dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Carpio snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  Carpio tries to land a left hook, but Cordon slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Carpio closes the distance.  Cordon pivots to the right of his opponent.  Carpio lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Carpio holds on to his opponent.  Carpio leans on his opponent using all his weight. Carpio tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cordon behind the head. 
Carpio drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Carpio manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Carpio lands a solid right hook.  Carpio throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Carpio's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Cordon's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
