Azam Lodhi vs John Acquaah

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Northern Ghana promoted show at Tamale Quainoo, Tamale,  taking place on 19/01/2032:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Northern Ghana Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Azam Lodhi (8(5) - 1) who hails from Tamale, Ghana and John Acquaah(18 - 7(2) - 5) from Tamale, Ghana.  Lodhi weighed in at 125 pounds And 10 ounces, while Acquaah weighed in at 126 pounds And 9 ounces.    As Acquaah came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Rich Burja, and the three ringside judges are Makalo Donkor, Makalo Donkor and Antwan Asamoah.  

Round 1:

Acquaah throws a left uppercut, but Lodhi clinches his opponent.  Lodhi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Lodhi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Acquaah steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Lodhi attempts to land a jab, but Acquaah sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lodhi is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Lodhi clinches his opponent.  Lodhi pushes his forearm into Acquaah's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lodhi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Lodhi advances into close range and connects with a stinging left hook.  Lodhi holds on to his opponent.  Lodhi pushes his forearm into Acquaah's face.  The referee warns Lodhi and breaks the clinch.

Acquaah hits home with a cross.

Lodhi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Acquaah tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a CRUSHING left uppercut.  ACQUAAH IS HURT!  Acquaah almost instantly gets his legs back.

Lodhi advances into close range.  Lodhi pivots to the left of his opponent.  Acquaah throws a left uppercut, but Lodhi holds on to his opponent.  Lodhi leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lodhi forces Acquaah to back into the corner.  Lodhi is on target with a left hook.  
Acquaah throws a right uppercut, but Lodhi clinches his opponent.  Lodhi pushes his forearm into Acquaah's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lodhi to stop fouling.  
Lodhi lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lodhi is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Acquaah switches the action to the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Lodhi lands a solid cross.

Lodhi steps inside and lands a firm right uppercut.

Lodhi lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Acquaah almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Lodhi lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Lodhi holds on to his opponent.  Lodhi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Some sustained pressure from Lodhi could be enough to finish Acquaah!  Lodhi lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND ACQUAAH IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  
Lodhi lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS ACQUAAH TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Acquaah now seems to have got his legs back.  
Lodhi is on target with a right hook.  
Lodhi lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Acquaah almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Lodhi manages to force Acquaah into a neutral corner.  Lodhi connects with a sharp right hook.  
Lodhi lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND SENDS ACQUAAH TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Acquaah can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Lodhi!
