Xeres Mondragon vs Dan Scollard

Boxing Daily Report from the Forficula Promotion promoted show at McKenzie Sports Club, Linden,  taking place on 16/02/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NCN, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Xeres Mondragon (3 - 4 - 2) who hails from La Paz, Bolivia and Dan Scollard(6 - 2 - 1) from Georgetown, Guyana.  Both Mondragon and Scollard weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Fallis, and the three ringside judges are Chris Hanlin, James Larrimore and David Humphries.  

Round 1: 

Mondragon advances into close range.  Scollard lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Scollard closes the distance.  Mondragon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Scollard hits home with a left uppercut.  
Scollard manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Scollard quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Mondragon's body.  
Mondragon closes the distance and tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mondragon throws a right hook, but Scollard clinches his opponent.  Scollard leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Scollard pushes his forearm into Mondragon's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Scollard to stop fouling.  
Scollard hits home with an overhand right.  
Scollard lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Scollard attempts to land a left uppercut, but Mondragon slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mondragon steps inside.  Scollard sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Scollard throws a right uppercut, but misses the target.  Scollard ties up his opponent.  Scollard tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mondragon's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Scollard.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mondragon's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Mondragon's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.
