Joshua Mailer vs Kai Waddle

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Saskatchewan promoted show at Saskatoon Bothwell, Saskatoon,  taking place on 01/03/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Canada-Ontario Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joshua Mailer (13 - 6(2) - 1) who hails from Brampton, Canada and Kai Waddle(9 - 21(1) - 2) from Ottawa, Canada.  Both Mailer and Waddle weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Edmison, and the three ringside judges are Mick Bellis, Platt Sauvage and Sam Coslett.  

Round 1: 

Mailer tries to step out of his opponents range.  Waddle sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mailer hits home with a cross.  
Waddle is on target with a jab.  
Mailer is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Mailer sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mailer throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Mailer attempts to land a jab, but Waddle dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Mailer has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.

Mailer gets on the inside.  Waddle pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.
